• No. 18-ranked Wake Forest remains at home on Tuesday to play UNCG at 4 p.m. on ACCNX.

Last Time Out
• Wake Forest went 3-1 over the opening weekend, defeating Seton Hall and Illinois and splitting a doubleheader against Milwaukee.
• All four Wake Forest starting pitchers matched or set a new career high in strikeouts. Ryan Cusick had 10 against Seton Hall, Jared Shuster tallied 12 against Milwaukee, Antonio Menendez notched six against the Panthers and William Fleming fanned eight Illini.
Chris Lanzilli hit one home run each day, going deep against all three teams the Deacs faced.

Wake Forest Storylines
• Wake Forest returns seven starters from one of the top offenses in the country. The Demon Deacons led the ACC in scoring last year with 7.8 runs per game.
• The Demon Deacons feature a trio of preseason All-Americans. Bobby Seymour was the ACC Player of the Year a season ago, while Chris Lanzilli is also a returning All-American. Shane Muntz was recognized by the NCBWA as a second team preseason All-American at DH.
• All four of Wake Forest's weekend pitching rotation are coming off impressive summers in the Cape Cod League.
• The Deacons averaged 8.5 runs per game opening weekend, thanks in part to an ACC-best six home runs.

Opponent & Series History
• Wake Forest leads the all-time series against UNCG, 42-16. Last year, each team defended its home field with the Deacs winning on Feb. 27 in 10 innings, 2-1. Tyler Witt, Bobby Hearn and Antonio Menendez combined to allow three hits in 10.0 frames.
• UNCG went 2-1 in Coastal Carolina's season-opening tournament, falling to the hosts but defeating Virginia Tech and San Diego State.
• Greg Hardison paced the Spartans by hitting .455 opening weekend, as UNCG hit .306 as a team.

On Deck
• The Deacs travel to Long Beach State from Feb. 21-23 for a three-game series.
