• Notre Dame leads 6-4 overall (Notre Dame leads 2-1 at LJVM)
• The Irish won the first meeting this season, 90-80, on Jan. 29 at Purcell Pavilion
• Wake Forest won last season's matchup at Notre Dame, 76-71
LAST TIME OUT
• Wake Forest upset No. 7 Duke 113-101 in double overtime on Tuesday night
• The Deacs rallied from down nine (78-69) with 1:15 to play in regulation to win (had a 0.6% chance of winning at that point according to KenPom)
• Olivier Sarr scored a career-high 25 points, Chaundee Brown scored 24 points and Brandon Childress scored 13 of his 17 points in the overtimes
• The Deacs' 34 overtime points were a school record (previous record was 32 in a double overtime win vs. Georgia Tech in the 2007 ACC Tournament)
• Wake's 113 points tied for the most allowed by Duke in the Mike Krzyzewski era
SECOND TIME IS THE CHARM
• Tonight's game is the fourth rematch of the season for the Demon Deacons
• In the first three rematches (Boston College, Clemson and Duke), the Deacs recorded a home victory after losing to that opponent on the road earlier in the season
OVER? NOTHING IS OVER UNTIL WE DECIDE IT IS!
• In each of the last two seasons, Wake Forest has come back from a late deficit to win, recording the lowest KenPom minimum win percentage in the ACC each year
• In the Feb. 25 double overtime win over Duke, Wake had a 0.6% chance to win when trailing 78-69 with 1:15 to play in regulation, the lowest percentage to overcome for a win in the ACC this season and seventh lowest nationally
• Last year, the Deacs had a 0.9% chance to win when trailing Miami 70-60 with 1:59 to play before rallying for a 76-75 win, the lowest percentage overcome for a win in the ACC in 2019
THE BIG FRENCHMAN
• Olivier Sarr has established himself as arguably the most improved player in the ACC this year
• Sarr's Player Efficiency Rating (PER) has improved from 14.5 last year to 25.1 this season
• Sarr is averaging 12.9 points per game this season, more than doubling his scoring average of last year (6.2)
• With 221 boards, Sarr is closing in on his total from his first two seasons combined (226)
• Sarr posted a career-high 25 points vs. Duke, a career-high 14 rebounds vs. Charleston, a career-high five blocks at Charlotte and his first eight career double-doubles
• Against Boston College, he had 10 points and 10 rebounds before halftime, the first first-half double-double by a Deac since 2013-14
• His free throw rate of 80.7 (100*FTA/FGA) leads the ACC, ranks seventh nationally and is the best by a Deacon since KenPom began tracking the stat in 2004
UP NEXT
• The Demon Deacons open the month of March with a visit to North Carolina on Tuesday
• It is a rematch of a Feb. 11 game in Winston-Salem when the Deacs topped the Tar Heels 74-57
• With a win in Chapel Hill on Tuesday, the Deacs would sweep the season series with UNC for the time since 2003
• Game time on ACC Network is 7:00 p.m.
