GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wake Forest women's basketball junior forward Ivana Raca was named to the All-ACC team, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
After a breakout campaign in the scoring column and on the board, Raca was placed on the All-ACC second team. She becomes the 23rd player in Wake Forest history to earn all-league honors and the first since Dearica Hamby in 2015.
Raca finished the season ranked fifth in the conference in scoring with 16.8 points per game while also ranking 17th in rebounds per game with an average of 6.7 per contest.
The Belgrade, Serbia native was a mainstay on the court for the Demon Deacons this season, averaging 35.5 minutes per game, the sixth most in the ACC.
With a team-high 19 points in the final game of the season, Raca became the 28th member of Wake Forest's 1000-point club. She joined teammate Alex Sharp, who became the 27th member earlier this season.
Raca was a key piece in the Deacs finishing with the second most conference wins in the program's history as her conference numbers were even more impressive. Over 18 ACC games, she averaged 17.5 points per game, 6.9 rebounds per game, 1.7 assists per game and 1.2 steals per game.
In January, she had a stretch of four consecutive games with a double-double. Over the course of her career she has recorded eight double-doubles.
During Wake Forest's seven conference wins, Raca was at her best, averaging 19.5 points per contest while scoring at least 15 points in each of those games.
Raca, who is just the second international player in program history to earn All-ACC honors, is one of five international players on the Wake Forest roster, the most of any team in the ACC. For more on the diverse Demon Deacons basketball team, click here.
