GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wake Forest women's basketball junior Ivana Raca earned first team All-ACC Tournament honors, as announced by the league on Sunday.
Raca, who was also voted as an All-ACC selection earlier this week, continued to put her skillset on full display in Greensboro.
She led the Demon Deacons in scoring in all three games, averaging 20.33 points per game. Raca helped propel the Deacs to the ACC Tournament Quarterfinals.
In the first round, Raca tied her career-high with 27 points against North Carolina while also pulling down a new career-high 13 rebounds. Her output led Wake to its most points scored against an ACC opponent this season as the Demon Deacons defeated the Tar Heels, 83-73, to advance to round two.
Facing the No. 5 seeded Virginia Tech Hokies, Raca again helped pace the Deacs, offensively. The Belgrade, Serbia native had nine points to lead all scorers in the first half.
With the game going back-and-forth throughout, Raca put Wake Forest up for good in the third quarter. Trailing 41-39, Raca got the ball just outside of the arc and knocked down a three with 1:21 left in the third. She helped put the game away in the fourth with a jumper at the 2:11 mark, making it a 54-49 lead.
In the first two games, Raca never left the floor, playing all 80 minutes in the Demon Deacons' wins.
Facing No. 22 Florida State in the quarterfinal round, Raca continued to pour in the points against the nationally-ranked Seminoles. She scored 13 of the first 19 points in the game for the Deacs with all 13 coming in a 10-minute stretch in the first half.
She ended the game with a game-high 18 points as Wake Forest's run in the tournament came to an end on Friday.
