WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --  With the goal of keeping all of Deacon Nation as safe and healthy as possible during home games this fall at Truist Field, Wake Forest Athletics has adjusted its seating and ticketing plans.

"Health and safety, not only of our student-athletes but to all who attend Wake Forest athletic events, is our number one priority," Director of Athletics John Currie said. "I applaud the efforts of our staff in designing a plan to ensure the safest possible conditions inside Truist Field, and all our venues, this fall, while still enabling the Deacon Nation to experience Wake Forest events in person. As we continue with our preparations internally, we need everyone to continue to wear masks and help stop the spread of COVID-19."

Events will require physical distancing and mandatory face masks or facial coverings, with careful attention to safety protocol for concessions. With that, Wake Forest will be transitioning to individual game tickets only for the 2020 and a more touchless environment with mobile ticketing.

Wake Forest Athletics realizes some fans may not be comfortable attending games at Truist Field. In accordance with the Ticket Assurance Program, season ticket holders will have a variety of options for funds paid for the 2020 season:

  • Donate season ticket purchases to the Athletics Scholarship Fund.

  • Roll over season ticket purchases to the 2021 season.

  • Receive a full refund on season ticket purchases.

With the seating plans for the upcoming season changing due to CDC guidelines, Wake Forest will offer current season ticket holders who wish to attend games the opportunity to obtain tickets on a game-by-game basis. This process is being finalized and will be shared within the coming weeks.

"Wake Forest Athletics is working through its FY21 budget and will continue to practice fiscal integrity as we move forward," Senior Associate AD Barry Faircloth said. "We encourage our fans, who are able, to continue to invest in helping Athletics provide a World Class Student-Athlete Experience by transferring their ticket purchases into 100% tax-deductible charitable contributions that directly impact Wake Forest student-athletes. Those gifts not only provide student-athletes with the opportunity to receive a degree from Wake Forest University, but also provide critical resources within Career Development, Nutrition, Mental Wellbeing and Athletics Training."

Many announcements and details will be forthcoming as circumstances evolve. Wake Forest is ultimately under the health and safety guidelines and regulations of Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, and the state of North Carolina.
