- Women's Soccer:
- The No. 5 Demon Deacons concluded its home nonconference slate as they picked up a dominant 2-0 win over Portland on Saturday to improve to 5-0 on the season.
- Redshirt junior defender Sierra Syrhe, who earned her second consecutive ACC Defensive Player of the Week honor earlier in the week, opened the scoring after converting from the penalty spot late in the first half.
- Sophomore Allie Flanagan sealed the shutout win with her first goal of the season in the 73rd minute.
- The Deacs conclude their nonconference schedule this week as they head on the road for the first time this season.
- Wake Forest will face USF on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m., before concluding its road trip against No. 20 Florida on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 12 p.m.

- Field Hockey:
- The No. 7 Deacs opened its 2026 season this past weekend as it hosted the ACC/Big Ten Challenge at Kenter Stadium.
- After dropping its opening game to No. 11 Iowa in overtime on Friday night, Wake Forest bounced back to claim a 2-0 win over No. 14 Michigan on Sunday afternoon.
- Junior back Mia Montag grabbed the opening goal of the game off a penalty corner late in the first half.
- The Berlin native also added an assist for the Deacs' second goal of the game in the fourth period.

- The Demon Deacons will continue its four-game homestand on Sunday, Sept. 6, as they host Ohio at 12 p.m.

- Graduate student Ryleigh Whitekettle recorded a career-high 10 blocks, as well as 18 kills, against LSU.
- Senior Patrycja Lagida powered the Demon Deacons to victory over Houston with a 14-kill, 13-dig double-double.
- The Demon Deacons dropped their opening match against the Tigers on Friday evening before securing their first win of the season against the Cougars on Saturday afternoon.
- Wake Forest is set to open its home slate this weekend as it hosts the Wake Forest Invitational from Sept. 4-6 at Varsity Arena.
- The Deacs will face Davidson on Friday at 6:30 p.m., UCF on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and Georgetown on Sunday at 2 p.m.

- The Wake Forest women's golf team is set to open the 2026-27 season this week as they look to defend their title at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate.
- The ANNIKA Intercollegiate will be held from Sept. 7-9 in Lake Elmo, Minn.
- Wake Forest enters the season ranked No. 7 in the Gold Channel's preseason rankings.
- Additionally, senior Macy Pate, junior Chloe Kovelesky and freshman Benedicte Brent-Petersen all earned spots on the Preseason All-American teams.
- Pate and Kovelesky were also named to the ANNIKA Preseason Watchlist.
