- Women's Soccer:
- The No. 5 Demon Deacons continued its undefeated start to the season as they picked up a pair of road wins over South Florida and No. 21 Florida to conclude their nonconference slate and move to 7-0.
- Wake Forest logged its sixth straight shutout on Thursday as they defeated USF, 3-0.
- Sophomore Kylie Maxwell opened the scoring with a beautiful strike from outside the box for her second goal of the season in the 32nd minute.
- In the second half, graduate student Henley Tippins padded the lead with a clever finish in the 66th minute, before redshirt junior Sierra Sythe sealed the game from the penalty spot in the 71st minute.
- The Deacs concluded its nonconference slate with a 2-1 win against the Gators on Sunday afternoon.
- Sythe grabbed the opening goal of the match as she unleashed a long range effort into the back of the net in the 15th minute.
- After Florida tied the match, the Long Beach, Calif., native buried her third penalty kick of the season in the 80th minute to give the Deacs the win.

- After giving up the opening goal of the game, the Demon Deacons rattled off six unanswered goals, including five in the second half alone.
- Senior Ava Moore bagged a pair of goals against the Bobcats to lead the Deacs offensively.
- Fellow senior Mia Schoenbeck made her season debut as she logged a pair of her assists.
- Junior Mia Montag also added a pair of assists on Sunday.

- The Demon Deacons are coming off hosting Davidson, UCF and Georgetown in the annual Wake Forest Invitational from Sept. 4-6.
- The Deacs finished the tournament with a 1-2 record, picking up a five-set win over UCF on Saturday evening.
- Senior outside hitter Patrycja Lagida led the Demon Deacon attack as she notched a 15-kill, 15-dig double-double.
- Freshman setter Emma Keeping recorded a career-high 45 assists in her first career start, moving her past the 100-assist mark for the season.
- Sophomore outside hitter Amina N'Diaye tallied 12 kills against the Knights, while redshirt junior middle blocker Catherine Burke added four blocks and a career-high 10 kills in the win.
- Lagida earned a spot on the Wake Forest Invitational All-Tournament Team as she tallied 40 kills and 35 digs across the three matches.
- The Deacs finished the tournament with a 1-2 record, picking up a five-set win over UCF on Saturday evening.
- The Deacs conclude their seven-match homestand this week as they host Mississippi State on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the "Showdown at the Net" ACC/SEC Challenge.
