Wake Forest Set for Back-to-Back Home Matches

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest volleyball team returns to Varsity Arena inside Reynolds Gymnasium for two matches this weekend against Notre Dame and No. 2 Louisville.
 
Statistically, Wake Forest has remained inside the top 10 in multiple categories since the start of the season. They are third in the league in service aces, with 1.66 per set. They are ninth in kills (13.11/set), sixth in hitting percentage (.252) and eighth in blocks (2.28/set).
 
Senior setter Andrea Fuentes is fourth in the Atlantic Coast Conference in assists per set, with 10.02/set through 60 sets. She has tallied 601 helpers through 17 matches, which is third-most in the league. She is also sixth in the league in service aces, averaging 0.28/set.
 
Freshman libero Kalani Whillock is eighth in the league in digs per set, averaging 3.89 through 61 sets. Her 237 total digs is fifth in the league. Virginia Tech's Logan Mosley has a league-high 292 digs through 71 sets.
 
The Matches
Friday's match against Notre Dame has first serve set for 7 p.m. in Varsity Arena.
 
Sunday's match against Louisville will air live on your Regional Bally Sports Network with first serve set for 12 p.m. in Varsity Arena.

The Wake Forest volleyball team fell, 3-0, to the NC State Wolfpack last Sunday afternoon in Raleigh. The Deacs were led by six kills from Kamryn Malloy and 13 assists from Andrea Fuentes. Kalani Whillock led the defense with 37 receptions and nine digs. Olivia Franke had the largest presence on the net with six blocks.
