CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's golf team and junior Rachel Kuehn swept both the team and individual titles at this weekend's Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invite, hosted by North Carolina.

Rachel Kuehn made a birdie on the 17th hole to earn medalist honors by a stroke and lead Wake Forest to a 10-shot win. That birdie gave her the one-stroke victory over Duke's Erica Shepherd.

Kuehn shot even-par 72 today and finished the 54-hole event at 11-under 205 (70-63-72), which tied the third-lowest total in tournament history. The junior from Asheville set the women's course record, Wake Forest's 18-hole record and the tournament single-round record on Saturday with a bogey-free, 9-under-par 63.

The Deacs had four players finish in the top 21 in the individual standings and shot a 17-under 847 total. Clemson was second at seven-under 857. Virginia Tech gave the ACC a sweep of the top three at 5 under.

Sophomore Mimi Rhodes finished T14. She has finished inside the top 15 in all three events so far this season. Freshman Carolina Chacarra finished T16, which is her second finish of the season inside the top 16.

Grad transfer Virunpat Olankitkunchai finished inside the top 25 at T21, which is her second finish of the season inside the top 25. She shot her best round on the final day with a 71 on the scorecard to finish the event one under par. Junior Lauren Walsh finished at two over par and T35.

Playing as an individual, Vanessa Knecht had her best finish of the season so far, coming in at T16 next to Chacarra after shooting her best round of the event on the final day. Knecht finished the day with a three-under score of 69 to finish the event two under.
