
No. 19 Wake Forest Ready to Close Out Regular Season with Senior Day Matchup versus No. 13 Boston College

Prior to Friday’s match, Wake Forest will honor six members of this year’s senior class.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - No. 19 Wake Forest closes out the 2021 regular season at home in a conference matchup with No. 13 Boston College on Friday, Oct. 29 inside Kentner Stadium at 4:00 p.m.
Prior to the match, Wake Forest will honor six members of this year's senior class: Abby Carpenter, Olivia Corthals, Elisha Evans, Grace Sambrook, Laia Vancells and Eleanor Winants for their contributions to the Demon Deacons field hockey program.

LAST TIME OUT
Wake Forest's offense started out fast, jumping out to a 2-0 lead after first half goals from Eleanor Winants (seven minute-mark) and Maggie Dickman (16-minute mark).
After Richmond opened up the second half with their first goal on their first shot attempt of the match, the Deacs rattled off two more unanswered goals from Dickman and Brooke McCusker to secure the 4-1 victory in their final non-conference match of 2021.
Dickman's two goals set a new career high for the junior from Louisville, Ky. This season, Dickman has netted six goals, which is also a good career best and good for third on the Demon Deacons.
Ball movement was key to Wake Forest's offensive success as Ashley Hart, Brooke McCusker, Grace Delmotte and Nat Friedman all dished out assists on the Demon Deacons' goals.
OPPONENT & SERIES HISTORY
Wake Forest holds a 19-8 advantage over Boston College, including victories in the last two matchups in 2020-21.
In the two wins last season, the Deacs outscored the Eagles 9-2, including a 3-0 mark in the spring season opener at Kentner on March 6. Hannah Maxwell scored a pair of goals and Tori Glaister earned her first-career win in the cage on the shutout victory.
LANCKOHR AMONG CONFERENCE'S BEST GOAL SCORERS
Meike Lanckohr has led Wake Forest's offense, registering eight goals (tied for third in the ACC and tied for 21st in the nation). After scoring a trio of goals in wins over Duke and UMass, Lanckohr was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time of her career. Additionally, Lanckohr has found the back of the net in six matches this season.
HATTY FOR HANNAH
Hannah Maxwell has netted a career-high seven goals this season, highlighted by hat tricks in wins over App State (Sept. 4) and Davidson (Oct. 17). Her 16 points (seven goals and two assists) rank second on the squad. Additionally, her seven goals are tied for fifth in the ACC.
NAT ATTACK
Nat Friedman has dished out a career-high and team-best eight assists in 2021, which is tied for the ACC lead. This season, Friedman has assisted on a Wake Forest goal in seven matches, highlighted by a career best two assists against App State on Sept. 4.
Earlier last week, Friedman was named to Team USA's Junior World Cup team that will head to Potchefstroom, South Africa on Dec. 5-16
GLAISTER A MAINSTAY IN GOAL
Tori Glaister earned her sixth win of the season against Davidson on Oct. 17. In Wake Forest's last ACC match against UNC, Glaister was credited with a career-high eight saves. This season, Glaister has made 44 saves (tied for fourth in ACC), a new career high. Additionally, she has recorded at least four saves on five separate occasions and has tallied at least two stops in 18 of her last 21 starts.
The Demon Deacon defense has been solid the entire 2021 season as Wake Forest has now allowed two goals or less in 12 of their first 15 matches to open the campaign.
ON DECK
Wake Forest will head to the 2021 ACC Championships on Nov. 4-7 in Syracuse, N.Y. The quarterfinals begin on Nov. 4 with a trio of matchups before the semifinals on Friday. The ACC Championship game is set to take place on Sunday, Nov. 7 at Noon.
