
Wake Forest Returns Home to Face Miami

The Demon Deacons and Hurricanes will meet on Thursday night as Wake Forest looks to play in its first home match since September 17th.
WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- Wake Forest women's soccer returns home to Spry Stadium for the first time since September 17th as the Demon Deacons host Miami on Thursday night.
Kick-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. and the match will air live via RSN and available on ACC Network Plus. Live stats will be found by HERE, and fans can follow @WakeWSoccer on Twitter and Instagram for live match updates.
SENIOR NIGHT
Prior to kick, Wake Forest will honor senior goalkeeper Mia Raben with a special presentation. Raben has appeared in 13 games over her four seasons with the Demon Deacons, making five starts. She has played over 700 minutes protecting the goal, collecting 33 saves and facing 97 shots throughout her career.
PROMOTION
For fans planning to attend, note that Wake Forest will have a speaker giveaway at the gate and will be giving out free t-shirts while supplies last for International Night celebrated at Spry Stadium.

A number of new fan experience enhancements are planned for the 2021 season. This includes expanded food and beverage options, including availability on Walt Chyzowych Alumni Hill, an enhanced in-game experience, featuring an expanded video board production with additional cameras, replay, and fan-engaging elements, as well as new immersive experiences to promote the unique culture that is known around professional and collegiate soccer.
Parking is encouraged in lots A, B, Q, W1 & W2. A complete parking map of campus is here.

The best way to enjoy Demon Deacon soccer throughout the 2021 season is through the purchase of Season Tickets. Packages start at only $45 for adults or $25 for youth and seniors.
For those wishing to purchase single-game admission for Spry Stadium, advance purchases are highly encouraged. Single game chairback seats are available for only $25, while bleacher admission is $20.

HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS
Wake Forest Athletics works closely with Wake Forest University, Forsyth County and state officials to follow COVID-related guidelines for the safety of fans in attendance at Truist Field and all venues. While proof of vaccination is not currently required for spectators, we encourage vaccinations for all. We are proud that nearly 100% of Wake Forest Athletics student-athletes, staff and coaches are vaccinated, as required under University and Athletics policy. Currently, all academic buildings are closed to visitors, and masks are required in all indoor spaces. For additional information regarding steps the University is taking to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission on campus, we strongly encourage you to review the University's COVID-19 Notice.
Wake Forest has several gameday guidelines and strategies. First and foremost is required face coverings for all unvaccinated fans in attendance. Additionally, all fans must wear a mask indoors at all times, regardless of vaccination status. Wake Forest Athletics also requires all non-team personnel to be masked at all times inside the field enclosure.
LAST TIME OUT
Wake Forest dropped a stunning 2-1 loss in overtime at Louisville Saturday night. Sophomore forward Emma Hiscock tallied the golden goal for the Cardinals in the 98th minute to hand the Deacs their second loss on the season.
Following a 78-minute defensive struggle for both sides, Louisville broke through for a 1-0 lead as Savina Zamborini punched in first collegiate goal.
Trailing 1-0 late in the second half, Wake Forest equalized the match on fifth year forward Hulda Arnarsdottir's third goal in the last three games. The Reykjavik, Iceland native collected a deflected ball off Sofia Rossi's woodwork shot and struck the back of the net in the 86th minute to tie the match.
STINGY DEFENSE
The Demon Deacons have posted 10 shutouts and have scored 27 but only given up three goals to date. The team's .248 goals-against average leads all of Division 1. Parks ranks second among all keepers in Division I with a .280 goals-against average and is tied for third most shutouts in the nation.
EVERYONE IS DANGEROUS
Twelve different Deacs have scored at least one goal this season, and six of Deac's 12 goal scorers have scored two or more goals.
NEW PROGRAM SHUTOUT RECORD
Wake Forest held opponents scoreless from the start of the season through the 19:32 mark vs No. 7 Virginia, setting a new program record for longest shutout streak of 739:32.
HOT START
Wake Forest started the season with eight straight shutouts for the first time in team history.

Miami enters the contest with a 4-6-0 (1-3-0 ACC) record and is led in scoring by Jackie Koerwitz and Katarina Molina, both have two goals each.
The Hurricanes are coached by Sarah Barnes, who enters her third season at the helm.
