WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's basketball team will continue their five-game homestand to open the season on Saturday, Nov. 20 against North Carolina A&T in the seventh all-time meeting between the two programs.
The Demon Deacons (3-0) are coming off a 95-59 victory over Charleston Southern on Wednesday in which Daivien Williamson surpassed 1,000 career points after finishing with 16 in the non-conference contest.
Wake Forest took care of business on both sides of the floor as the Deacs shot a season-best 53.8 percent from the field on offense while holding the Buccaneers to just 36.8 percent shooting. Jake LaRavia led all scorers with 24 points as he set a new career high with 10 made field goals.
Additionally, the defense forced 22 turnovers as eight Demon Deacons finished with a steal, including Williamson who also set a new career high with four of the team's 12 takeaways.
The Aggies (1-3) are coming off a 77-69 victory over Greensboro College (DIII) and are coached by third-year coach Willie Jones. Jones' squad returns four starters from last seasons' Aggie team that won the 2020-21 MEAC regular season title.
Tipoff in Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum is scheduled for 4 p.m. and the game will stream live on ACC Network Extra.
Fans can follow along via the Demon Deacons Twitter and Instagram accounts (@WakeMBB).
