
Wake Forest Hosts Boston College in Final Home Match of the Season

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest volleyball team (14-12, 5-10 ACC) will host the Boston College Eagles (15-14, 5-10 ACC) in the final home match of the season on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Varsity Arena. The match will commemorate the careers of three seniors on the team (Abby Krueger, Peyton Washington and Kamryn Malloy). A senior day ceremony will take place after the match for all to attend.
Statistically, Wake Forest has remained inside the top 10 in multiple categories since the start of the season. They are third in the league in service aces, with 1.52 per set. They are ninth in kills (13.00/set), eighth in hitting percentage (.238), 11th in assists (11.41/set) and eighth in blocks (2.18/set).
Senior setter Andrea Fuentes is fifth in the Atlantic Coast Conference in assists per set, with 9.90/set through 92 sets. She has tallied 911 helpers through 26 matches, which is third-most in the league. She is also third in the league in total service aces with 33.
Freshman libero Kalani Whillock is fourth in the league in digs per set, averaging 4.03 through 92 sets. Her 370 total digs is fourth in the league. Virginia Tech's Logan Mosley has a league-high 409 digs through 104 sets.
Grad transfer Kamryn Malloy plays all six rotations for the Deacs and leads the team in total kills for the season, tallying 329 through 26 matches. She has also amassed 202 digs, 37 blocks and 29 service aces. Her 202 digs is second on the team, behind libero Kalani Whillock (371).

Wake Forest will host Boston College on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. in Varsity Arena.

Last Time Out
The Wake Forest volleyball team defeated Virginia for the second time in less than two weeks on Friday night as the Deacons downed the Cavaliers, 3-1. With the win, the Demon Deacons (14-12, 5-10 ACC) won both its matches this season over UVA (8-17, 1-14 ACC) marking the first time Wake Forest has swept an ACC opponent since 2018. Three Demon Deacons recorded double-digit kills led by Delaney McSweeney with 11 (.588 hitting percentage) during the match. Additionally, sophomore Olivia Franke and senior Kamryn Malloy each recorded 10 kills of their own, respectively. Andrea Fuentes paced the offense with 40 assists, which gives her 911 assists on the year.
