
Wake Forest Travel for Road ACC Opener at Florida State

The Demon Deacons fly to Tallahassee to take on No. 6 Florida State on Sunday afternoon.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - For the first time in Atlantic Coast Conference play, the Wake Forest women's tennis team is set to play on the road, traveling to Tallahassee to play No. 6 Florida State on Sunday afternoon.
The first serve on Sunday is scheduled for Noon ET at the FSU Tennis Center.
The Demon Deacons (4-4, 0-1 ACC) and Seminoles (8-2, 3-0 ACC) have split the last four regular season matches in the series including a 4-2 victory at Florida State during the 2016-17 season.
With a win on Sunday afternoon, it would be the second consecutive season the Demon Deacons would pick up a top-10 win after defeating No. 5 Princeton at the Blue Gray Classic Championship match, 4-1, last February.

Despite the defeat to NC State to open ACC season, the Demon Deacons had strong performances out of underclassmen Casie Wooten, Anna Campana and Brooke Killingsworth.
- Anna Campana and Brooke Killingsworth both battled their ranked opponents to three sets before falling to the top-40 Wolfpack singles players.
NEXT UP
The Deacs return home next weekend, squaring off against No. 12 Georgia Tech on Saturday and Clemson on Sunday.
