CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Despite getting off to a strong start, the No. 14 Wake Forest men's tennis dropped a non-conference clash with No. 7 Virginia on Saturday afternoon, 5-2.
The Demon Deacons (3-2) fast start grabbing the doubles point to open up the match. For the first time this season the No. 18 ranked doubles pairing of Eduardo Nava and Henri Squire were on the court together, playing the No. 1 doubles match.
They made quick work of the Cavaliers' (5-0) pairing of Soderlund and Woodall, winning 6-2.

No. 92 Rrezart Cungu picked up the Demon Deacons lone singles win on court six, defeating Virginia's Ross in straight-set fashion, 6-4, 7-5.
Squire nearly picked up his second straight ranked victory in the No. 1 match, battling No. 29 Söderlund in a three-set loss. After dropping the opening frame, Squire came back with a convincing 6-0 win in the second before eventually falling.
