
Demon Deacons Set to Host Orange Friday

The No. 29 Demon Deacons will look to extend their home winning streak to three matches as Deacs open weekend with Syracuse.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 29 Wake Forest women's tennis team is scheduled to host Syracuse Friday afternoon.
The first serve in the matinee is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET against the Orange (4-6, 3-4 ACC) at Wake Forest Tennis Center.
A victory for the Demon Deacons (7-6, 3-3 ACC) on Sunday would mark the fourth win in the last five matches and extend their home winning streak to three matches.
Wake Forest goes into the match with a 7-4 record against the Orange all-time with a two-match win streak dating back to 2018. Additionally, the Deacs are 4-2 against Syracuse at home.
In the last match against Syracuse, both Eliza Omirou and Anna Brylin picked up singles wins in the 5-2 victory over the then nationally ranked Orange.

LAST TIME
The No. 29 Wake Forest women's tennis team claimed a hard fought road match at Louisville, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon.
- Anna Brylin and Brooke Killingsworth continued to be tough to beat in the No. 2 doubles position, being the first to finish with a 6-2 win. Just moments later, Carolyn Campana and Eliza Omirou closed out the doubles point with another 6-2 victory.
- Despite strong efforts from Louisville, Wake Forest pulled away and secured the win thanks to Carolyn Campana picking up the clinching point on court one, her fourth consecutive victory.

The Deacs close out the home weekend at the Wake Forest Tennis Center Sunday, facing Boston College.
