WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The 2021 Division I cross country championship selection show will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday and streamed on NCAA.com.
The Demon Deacons men's team enters the selection show ranked No. 2 in the southeast region and No. 21 in the national coaches' poll.
The 2021 individual and team championships will be decided on March 15 and will air on ESPNU with coverage beginning at 12:30 p.m. Oklahoma State University will play host at the OSU Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Wake Forest's men last qualified and competed at the national meet in 2001 when the Demon Deacons placed 19th overall.
The men's program has been training all spring following a third-place finish at the 2020 ACC Championships. That was the first time since 2001 that the Demon Deacons entered the national rankings and it was their best finish at the conference meet since 2001.
At that meet, four Wake Forest student-athletes earned All-ACC honors with top-20 finishes, led by Carter Coughlin crossing in fifth.
