#ProDeacs NBA 2020-21 Update

Seven former Wake Forest men's basketball players highlight former Deacs on NBA rosters.

Find out below how all the #ProDeacs have fared as the NBA regular season comes to a close.

Chris Paul – Phoenix Suns (16th season): Paul has put together another fantastic year in his 16th season, leading the Suns to the number two seed in the Western Conference and the second-best record in the NBA with six games remaining in the regular season.

Scoring 16.2 points and dishing out 8.8 assists per game, he has helped the Suns win five of their last six overall and obtain the best road record in the league at 22-10.

John Collins – Atlanta Hawks (4th season): Starting in 59 of the Hawks' 68 contests, Collins is averaging 17.6 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, while shooting a career best 82.7% from the free throw line.

Collins continues to be an efficient scorer, shooting over 55% from the floor in all four seasons of his young career. He has helped Atlanta win three of their last four games, giving the Hawks the fifth best record in the Eastern Conference.

James Johnson – New Orleans Pelicans (12th season): Since being traded from Dallas to New Orleans on March 25, Johnson has appeared in 16 contests for the Pelicans. He is averaging 8.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in just over 24 minutes of game action per outing.

Playing the seventh most minutes of any player since joining the team, he looks to be a key contributor for New Orleans as they battle for a play-in spot in the Western Conference.

Al-Farouq Aminu – Chicago Bulls (11th season): After arriving in Chicago via a trade from Orlando, Aminu made his Bulls debut in San Antonio on March 27, grabbing five rebounds in 12 minutes of action.

In six games with Chicago, he has grabbed 3.2 rebounds per game in just over 11 minutes per contest off the bench.

Ish Smith – Washington Wizards (11th season): In his second season with the Washington Wizards, Smith has battled through injury and once again been a reliable option off the bench. After leaving the game with a quad injury on Feb. 12, Smith returned to the Wizards' rotation on April 3 against the Dallas Mavericks.

Since his return, he has averaged 6.5 points per game and scored in double figures seven times. On April 17, he scored a season-high 16 points versus Detroit, helping Washington earn their fourth win in a row.

Jeff Teague – Milwaukee Bucks (12th season): When Teague signed with the Milwaukee Bucks on April 1, he was reunited with his head coach from his Atlanta Hawks playing days, Mike Budenholzer.

Teague made his Bucks debut on April 2, helping his squad take down the Portland Trailblazers 127-109. He has appeared in 16 contests in a Milwaukee uniform, averaging 6.2 points per game and scoring in double figures five times. With six games remaining on the schedule, Teague looks to help Milwaukee hold their place as a top three team in the Eastern Conference.

Jaylen Hoard – Oklahoma City Thunder (2nd season): After spending the early part of the 2020-21 season with the Thunder's G-League affiliate, Oklahoma City officially signed Hoard to a two-way contract on April 5.

In 14 games with the Thunder, Hoard has put up 5.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in just 15 minutes of action per contest. He scored in double figures in each of his first three outings with the team on 50% shooting from the floor.
