The rising sophomore is one of 32 selections to the team based on performances at the U-21 National Championship last week in Virginia Beach, Va.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Lee Ann Gordon was tabbed to the USA Field Hockey U-21 Development Selection Camp Roster, released by the organization last week.
The Louisville, Ky. native was one of 32 members given a spot on the roster, selected from the 2021 Young Women's National Championship held last week in Virginia Beach, Va.
In her first collegiate season, Gordon appeared in all 17 games, making eight starts and playing every minute in the Demon Deacons' six spring contests.
Gordon registered her best performance of the year in Wake Forest's victory at Duke on March 19, dishing out a career-high two assists and helping the Deacs claim their second spring win.
The selection camps are slated to take place in December 2021 or January 2022 and will serve as an opportunity to be evaluated for a spot on the 2022 U-21 Women's National Team and Development Team.
Nat Friedman will also represent Wake Forest on Team USA, as the sophomore was selected as a member of the USA Field Hockey Women's Junior Pan American Championship (JPAC) Training Squad and the U-22 Women's National Team that will compete against Chile. Friedman has begun training in preparation for the JPAC, which is slated to take place on Aug.16-29 in Santiago, Chile.
