Wake Forest Ranked No. 10 in ITA Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll

The No. 10 Demon Deacons begin their season hosting their first nine matches.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's tennis team will begin their 2022 season as the No. 10 spot in the ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings Division I Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll, announced by the organization on Wednesday morning.
The team is coming off a dominant fall season, compiling 64 singles wins and 47 doubles victories. Four Demon Deacons were ranked in the end of the year singles rankings, while three doubles teams were ranked as well.
Finding themselves in the singles rankings were Filippo Moroni (75), Jakob Schnaitter (85), Taha Baadi (100) and Robert Maciag (117).
In doubles, Siddhant Banthia was ranked twice as Banthia and Schnaitter were at No. 19, Maciag and Ben Draper were No. 26 and Banthia and Juan Lopez de Azcona claimed No. 50.
Wake Forest is playing a myriad of ranked opponents in the 2022 spring season as eight teams are in the Top 25, including three from the ACC.
The Deacs' first nine matches of the spring are in the safe confines of Wake Forest Tennis Complex.
