Wake Forest Remains in Contention Entering Final Round of Landfall Tradition

Four Demon Deacons are inside the top 20 after 36 holes.
WILMINGTON, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's golf team remains in contention for their third title of the fall season with 18 holes left to play at the Landfall Tradition.
Wake Forest started fast on the second day of play in Wilmington, getting a three-stroke lead on the field going through the turn. Rachel Kuehn also had a two-stroke lead on the field after eight holes. Kuehn registered her fourth birdie of the day out of the turn on hole 12 but finished the round one over. She remains in the top five heading into the final day of play.
Emilia Migliaccio had one birdie to balance two bogeys and remain inside the top 15 after 36 holes. During the middle of her round, she went 10-straight holes for par to keep her position. Carolina Chacarra went one-under in her second round to move into the top 20 heading into the final day. Lauren Walsh also shot a one-under in her second round to get back to even for the event and enter the top 25.
Mimi Rhodes improved from her first round to jump 18 spots on the leaderboard with an even-par 72 in the second round. Playing as an individual, freshman Anne-Sterre den Dunnen also shot even par in her second round to remain in the top 20 at T16 heading into the final day of play.
Final Round
Sunday's final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Wake Forest will be going off holes one, two and three and will be paired with San Jose State and South Carolina. Live scoring will be available via Golfstat.
