Men’s DMR Earns Third Best Mark in School History

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest track and field men's distance medley relay team set the third best time in school history with a 9:40.54 time to highlight the two day meet at the JDL DMR Invitational.
On top of that, the Deacs collected three first place, eight podiums and 15 top-10 finishes over the weekend.
No. 3 Men's DMR Time
In one of two events on Friday night, Joaquin Martinez De Pinillos, Kenton Bachmann, Rynard Swanepoel and Thomas Vanoppen ran the third best time in school history to place sixth in the event.
Men's Shot Put Sweeping Podium
Thomas Kitchell, Mason Ellis and Connor Mathis earned first, second and third place, respectively. Kitchell picked up his third win of the season as Ellis and Mathis secured personal bests.
Throws Dominance
In the men's and women's shot put and weight throw, the Deacs combined for seven podium spots.
The Deacs will be set to compete at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Virginia Tech, running from February 24-26 in Blacksburg, Va.
