Wake Forest - Pitt Men’s Basketball Set for Primetime Contest on Wednesday

Wednesday’s game will tipoff at 7 p.m. and be broadcasted on ESPN2.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Based on updated safety information from emergency responders and city officials and after in-depth discussions among the University's leadership, the Reynolda campus, Wake Downtown and Brookstown will resume in-person classes on Thursday, Feb. 3. With that, the Demon Deacons' men's basketball game against the Pitt Panthers will be played as scheduled Wednesday night at 7 p.m. inside LJVM Coliseum.
Complimentary tickets for Wednesday's game will be provided to families and individuals who have relocated to the evacuation center at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. These tickets will be distributed on site at the fairgrounds on Wednesday evening.
Wake Forest's women's basketball game on Thursday against North Carolina inside LJVM Coliseum at 8 p.m. will be played as scheduled. Tickets for that game begin at just 10 dollars. First responders will receive free admission to Thursday's game for them and their immediate families by showing their first responder identification at the entrance to LJVM Coliseum.
Additionally, matches inside the Indoor Tennis Center this weekend for Wake Forest's women's and men's tennis squads will be played as scheduled.

Fans are reminded to use caution for road closures and detours near Weaver Fertilizer Plant.
All patrons ages 12 and older will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid test taken within 48 hours of the event in order to enter Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Ticket Information
Single game tickets are still available with prices starting at $25. A limited number of our fan-favorite four-pack ticket offer is also available for $129 to include parking, while supplies last.
Looking to purchase a season membership? There are three easy ticketing options to choose from this season - a full, half, or quarter season ticket membership. Within those packages, fans may choose the "FLEX" pass option or choose a traditional season ticket membership.
"FLEX" season ticket memberships offer ultimate fan-focused flexibility and pricing. At the time of purchase, fans may select the number of games they wish to attend, broken down into: Full Season: 19 Admissions, Half Season: Nine Admissions or Quarter Season: Five Admissions. Each admission counts for one ticket for entry, and members may use the tickets as they desire for the games that best fit their schedule. Members may even use multiple admissions for a single game to bring a friend, family member or guest with them (some restrictions apply). The Demon Deacons (17-5, 7-4) have won four of their last five contests and currently sit in sole possession of fifth place in the ACC standings. Wake Forest's six ACC wins during the month of January mark the program's most since the 1996-97 season.
Alondes Williams remains the current ACC leader in both points per game and assists per game, and is the only player in the country averaging 19.0 points (19.8), 6.0 rebounds (6.8), and 5.0 assists (5.1). No player has ended the season leading the ACC in points and assists since the league began tracking assists in 1973.
Paired with Jake LaRavia's averages of 14.9 points and 3.5 assists, the Williams/LaRavia duo is averaging 34.7 points per game and 8.6 assists per game, making them the top scoring tandem in the ACC and the runner-up pair in assists.
Through 11 ACC games, the Demon Deacons lead the conference in team field goal percentage (48.6) and are second in opponent field goal percentage (40.8). Wake Forest has held seven of its 11 ACC opponents to below 40 percent shooting.
Additionally, the Demon Deacons rank fourth in the conference in free throw percentage (74.2), total rebounds per game (34.2), assists per game (14.9), and blocks per game (4.2).
The Panthers (9-11, 3-6) are coming off a 69-56 road loss at Boston College and are currently tied for 12th in the ACC standings. Pittsburgh is led by fourth year coach Jeff Capel, whose squad attempts the ninth-most free throws per game in the country, at 22.5.
Tipoff inside the Joel Coliseum is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET and the game will air live on ESPN 2.
