Kuehn Ready to Make LPGA Debut

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.  - Wake Forest women's golf junior Rachel Kuehn will be making her LPGA debut this week at the Palos Verdes Championship in Palos Verdes, California.
 
The Asheville native earned an exemption into the event when she won the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes in March. She is also coming off winning the 2022 ACC Championships with her Wake Forest teammates last weekend in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
 
Kuehn leads the Demon Deacons with a 70.70 stroke average over 27 rounds during the 2021-22 season. She has finished inside the top 25 in every event of the year, including her win at Palos Verdes and a win in Chapel Hill in October at the Tar Heel Invite.
 
She was just recently named to Team USA for the 2022 Arnold Palmer Cup, selected to Team USA for the 2022 Curtis Cup and was named to the ANNIKA Award Watch List. She is the eighth-ranked amateur in the world according to WAGR, the sixth-ranked women's collegiate golfer according to Golfstat and the fifth-ranked female collegiate player according to Golfweek/Sagarin.
 
This is the first year of the Palos Verdes Championship on the LPGA schedule. The 72-hole event will be played at the par-71, 6,450-yard Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, California April 28-May 1.
