
No. 7 Wake Forest Looks to Stay Perfect at Home

Wake Forest is set to defend their home courts as they welcome No. 67 Clemson, No. 56 Georgia Tech and Campbell this weekend.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Coming off a month on the road, No. 7 Wake Forest men's tennis will look to further its 17-straight wins at home this weekend, welcoming No. 67 Clemson (10-10, 1-7 ACC), No. 56 Georgia Tech (8-9, 3-5 ACC) and Campbell (14-4, 6-0 SoCon).
The Demon Deacons (24-5, 7-1 ACC), currently No. 7 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national rankings. Clemson stands at No. 67 and Georgia Tech is No. 56 nationally.

PROMOTION THEME
On Friday and Sunday enter for a chance to win a WF prize pack. Sunday is Club day at the WF Tennis Complex as we invite local tennis clubs out to enjoy some men's tennis. FAN INFORMATION
If the matches are moved indoors, all patrons ages 12 and older will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid test taken within 48 hours of the event in order to enter the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center whenever matches are held indoors.
Prior to entry, fans must either:
● Show their vaccination card or photo or digital image with name and dosage history.
○ Digital or photos of vaccination cards are acceptable.
OR
○ Show their printed or digital negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid test.

Individuals who cannot provide proof of vaccination or a valid negative COVID-19 test according to the conditions outlined above will not be allowed to enter Wake Forest Athletics indoor events.

LAST TIME OUT
No. 7 Wake Forest men's tennis team won early and often in its 4-0 win over No. 27 Louisville at Bass-Rudd Tennis Center Sunday evening, snapping their 11-match home win streak.
Wake Forest won the doubles point for the 20th time this season and improved to 19-1 when taking a 1-0 advantage with a doubles victory. The Deacs also rolled to three singles wins over Louisville, with all three of those victories coming in straight sets.
PERFECT AT HOME
Wake Forest is 17-0 at home in 2022 and 96-4 since 2016.
RANKED DEACS
On Wednesday (Apr. 6), per updated national rankings released by the International Tennis Association (ITA), Wake Forest as a team was ranked No. 7 and continued to see familiar names placed among the lists of singles and doubles.
Singles Rankings:
Wake Forest and Clemson are familiar opponents, with this match marking the 81st meeting between the programs. Clemson leads the series 43-37, but Wake Forest has defeated Clemson 18 out of the last 19 matches, most recently dominating the Tigers, 7-0 in 2021.
Doubles Rankings:
Sunday serves as the 48th meeting between the two programs. Wake Forest has won 11-straight over the Yellowjackets with the last win coming in 2021 in 4-3 fashion.
Singles Rankings:
Campbell leads the series with two wins in 1991 and 1992. Campbell owns an impressive 14-4 overall record and a perfect 6-0 SoCon mark.
