CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – No. 61 Wake Forest men's tennis senior Eduardo Nava advanced to the Quarterfinals in the NCAA Singles Championship with a close three-set win over No. 11 Hamish Stewart of Georgia. Siddhant Banthia and Jakob Schnaitter followed suit as they advanced to the Quarterfinals in the Doubles Championship thanks to the duo's upset win over the nation's No. 24 pair from Michigan.
In singles, Nava got off to a fast start on the day, earning a late break to take the first set, 6-4. Hamish Stewart responded with a second set victory. The third set reached a tiebreaker with Stewart taking an early lead in the tiebreak, 4-1 but Nava would battle back and go on a 6-1 run to win the tiebreak, 7-5.
