The redshirt junior is coming off a record-breaking season that included a Wake Forest best 15 receiving touchdowns.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wake Forest redshirt junior wide receiver A.T. Perry was named to the All-ACC team as voted on by the media and announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office.

The Lake Worth, Fla. native received the second most votes among all league wide receivers after a breakout campaign that included an ACC record 15 receiving touchdowns. He returns after being named First Team All-ACC a season ago along with offensive lineman Zach Tom and kicker Nick Sciba, who are now with the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers, respectively.

Perry has also earned national acclaim the past two weeks, being placed on both the Maxwell Award Watch List and the Biletnikoff Award Watch List, given to the best player in the country and the most outstanding receiver in the country, respectively.

In addition to Perry being named to the All-ACC team, the league also announced the vote counts for the Preseason ACC Player of the Year. Redshirt junior quarterback Sam Hartman finished second in the voting, receiving 30 votes.

Additionally on Tuesday, the league also announced the media's preseason predictions for the conference. Wake Forest was picked to finish third in the Atlantic, receiving six votes to win the division for the second consecutive year. The Demon Deacons also earned four votes to win the ACC Championship ahead of the 2022 season.

Preseason All-America Wide Receiver

Perry, who was also ranked as the No. 9 wide receiver in the country by the Lindy's and a preseason All-American by Phil Steele, is coming off one of the greatest single seasons by a Wake Forest wide receiver in program history, setting the single-season record with 15 touchdown receptions, three more than any other play in the program's history.

Additionally, the total was tied for the fifth most in ACC history and the third highest total since 1997.

The Lake Worth, Fla. native also ended the year as just the ninth player in Wake Forest history to cross over the 1,000-yard barrier, tallying 1,293 receiving yards, ranking second and just 37 yards shy of the program record.

Along with Jaquarii Roberson, the duo are the second pair of Wake Forest receivers to both go over 1,000 yards in the same season (2019: Sage Surratt, Kendall Hinton).

A 2021 Belitnikoff Semifinalist, Perry found the endzone in 11 of the 14 games while having 100-plus yards in seven contests. His most memorable moment of the season came at Syracuse when all three of Perry's catches (137 receiving yards) went for touchdowns including the game winner in overtime to secure a 40-37 win for the Deacs and a 6-0 start to the season.
