Lanckohr Named to Preseason All-ACC Field Hockey Team

The two-time All-American and All-ACC honoree receives conference recognition ahead of the 2022 season.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wake Forest field hockey senior All-American Meike Lanckohr was named to the 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference Preseason All-ACC Field Hockey Team, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.
Lanckohr received All-America and All-ACC first team accolades for the second-straight season after posting a team-best and career-high 20 points with a career-high nine goals and two assists in 2021. Overall, the Voerendaal, Netherlands native finished tied for second in the ACC in goals, while ranking third in points per game (1.54).
Additionally, Lanckohr notched a season-high tying four points twice with a career-high tying two goals against Iowa (Aug. 27) and Duke (Sept. 17).
For her performances in back-to-back wins over top-25 opponents in No. 17 Duke and No. 21 UMass, Lanckohr was named ACC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time of her career after leading Wake Forest's offensive attack with a trio of goals.
Wake Forest opens the new campaign by hosting Iowa (Aug. 26) and Michigan (Aug. 28) inside Kentner Stadium as a part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Sunday's matchup against the Wolverines will be live on ACC Network at 1:30 p.m.
