
Demon Deacons Post Three Top-10 Finishes at Furman Invitational

Madeline Rehm finished fifth in the women’s 5k to pace Wake Forest.
GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Wake Forest women's cross country team had a strong outing Saturday at the Furman Invitational as the Demon Deacons posted three top-10 finishes in the women's 5k.
The Demon Deacons were paced by Madeline Rehm who finished fifth, running 17:02.7. Rehm was joined by Hana Catsimanes (17:11.1) and Mackenna Curtis-Collins (17:14.9) in the top-10 as the duo finished eighth and ninth, respectively. Caroline Garrett (17:22.7) and Emma Douglass (17:30.8) also had solid performances Saturday as they finished 11th and 12th.
Of note, Wake Forest's top five finishers (Rehm, Catsimanes, Curtis-Collins, Garrett and Douglass) all finished within 30 seconds of each other.
As a team, Wake Forest joined host Furman as the only programs to have eight or more runners finish in the top-20.
