COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Wake Forest women's golf program is one of only two teams in the country to have at least three players named to the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel Preseason Watch List.

Returning graduate student Emilia Migliaccio, senior and reigning ACC Player of the Year Rachel Kuehn and sophomore, reigning ACC Freshman of the Year, Carolina Chacarra have all been named as players to watch for the prestigious award given to the top collegiate female golfer at the conclusion of the season.

All three players have been named to the watch list multiple times and all have been finalists for the award throughout their collegiate careers.

One of the best players in program history and 2019 ACC individual champion Emilia Migliaccio is returning to the Demon Deacons' squad for the 2022-23 for her final year of eligibility. She is coming off her first year of graduate school at Wake Forest and won the 120th North & South Women's Amateur in July. She finished runner-up at the 2021 Augusta National Women' Amateur (ANWA) and is one of the only collegiate players to compete in four Arnold Palmer Cups.

Migliaccio returns to collegiate competition with the second-lowest career scoring average in program history, with a 71.96 average over 106 rounds played. She has amassed 17 top-10 finishes in her career so far and five career victories.

Kuehn, a WGCA All-America First Team selection and All-America Scholar, led the Deacs with a 71.18 stroke average over 33 rounds during the 2021-22 season. She had seven top 10 finishes with five of them coming inside the top five. In addition to being named the ACC Player of the Year, she earned All-ACC honors at the conclusion of the regular season. She was also named one of 10 finalists for the 2022 ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel.

On the international circuit, she competed at the Arnold Palmer Cup for the third time, the Curtis Cup and the ANWA for the second time and represented the United States at the Women's World Amateur Team Championships in Paris last month.

Chacarra, a WGCA All-America Second Team selection and All-America Scholar, was second on the team with a 71.79 stroke average over 33 rounds during the 2021-22 season. She had five top 10 finishes with four of them coming inside the top five. Along with being named the ACC Freshman of the Year, she earned All-ACC honors at the conclusion of the regular season. She was also named one of 10 finalists for the 2022 ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel.

On the international circuit, she competed in the ANWA and the Arnold Palmer Cup for the first time, along with representing Spain at the Women's World Amateur Team Championships.

About the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel:
Created in 2014, the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel is annually given to the top female U.S. collegiate golfer; the winner voted on by players, coaches and members of the college golf media. Named for Annika Sorenstam, the award was created in partnership with the Haskins Foundation to acknowledge the top female golfer at the end of the season and to match the Haskins Award presented by Stifel, which acknowledges the top male Division I collegiate golfer. Rose Zhang (Stanford) became the 8th ANNIKA Award winner in 2022, and the second consecutive winner from Stanford.

Stifel, one of the nation's leading wealth management and investment banking firms, serves as the presenting sponsor of both the ANNIKA and Haskins Awards, recognizing annually the most outstanding NCAA Division I female and male college golfers. Stifel also serves as a presenting sponsor for the NCAA Division I Women's and Men's Golf Championships on GOLF Channel.
