Last Time Out
Wake Forest fell to then 17th-ranked Stanford, 4-0, on Feb. 19 inside the XS Tennis Village in Chicago, Ill., to conclude play at the 2023 ITA Division I National Team Indoor Championship.

Despite playing their sixth match in the last 10 days, the Demon Deacons forced several third sets in singles but were unable to register a match victory against the Cardinal. Stanford jumped out to an early 1-0 lead behind victories in first and second doubles, before securing wins in first, third and sixth singles to clinch the victory.

Of note, four of Wake Forest's last six opponents have been ranked within the top-20 nationally, including three top-10 foes.

The Matchup - No. 28 VCU
VCU enters Tuesday's match with an 11-1 record, including back-to-back victories over USF and Virginia Tech. The Rams' only loss this season came to NC State during ITA Kickoff Weekend.

Over its past four matches, VCU has outscored its opponents 25-3, while allowing no more than one point in each contest. Coming into the 2023 campaign, the Rams had five players garner Atlantic 10 preseason all-conference honors. Additionally, VCU was picked to win the conference title heading into the season.

Ranked Rams
        Singles
            No. 62 – Matisse Bobichon
        Doubles
            No. 53 – Matisse Bobichon/Rayane Stable

Tuesday will mark the 28th meeting between the Demon Deacons and the Rams as Wake Forest owns a 10-17 record against VCU all-time.

The Matchup - Belmont-Abbey
Division II Belmont-Abbey comes into Tuesday's contest boasting an 8-5 record. The Crusaders received votes in last week's Division II ITA Top 25 Coaches Poll.

Belmont Abbey entered the 2023 season as the preseason favorite to win Conference Carolinas after winning the regular season and tournament titles in 2022. A season ago, the Crusaders finished the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record in league play and went on to make the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance in 21 years.

Belmont-Abbey is led by Nicholas Cary as he owns a 4-0 mark in singles action at the second, third and fourth singles position. In doubles play, the Crusaders are led by the duo of Alex Turner and Xaveam Van Wijk as they own a 2-0 record at first doubles.

Tuesday will mark the first-ever matchup between Wake Forest and Belmont-Abbey.

Sustained Success
Wake Forest has made the NCAA Tournament in each of the past nine seasons, including the 2018 season, in which the Demon Deacons won the program's first ever NCAA Championship.

Since head coach Tony Bresky took over the program in 2012, the Deacs have accumulated 31 All-ACC honors. Of note, five Demon Deacons earned All-ACC honors last season, marking the most in a single season in program history.
