Four Demon Deacons Earn All-America Honors

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Since winning the 2023 NCAA National Championship on Wednesday evening, four Demon Deacons have been selected as WGCA All-Americans, as announced by the organization Friday morning.
 
Seniors Rachel Kuehn and Lauren Walsh each earned First Team honors, sophomore Carolina Chacarra earned Second Team honors and graduate Emilia Migliaccio capped off her five-year career with honorable Mention. This is the first time since 2020 Wake Forest has had four women's golfers earn All-America honors.
 
Kuehn, a four-time All-American, was the first back-to-back ACC Player of the Year in program history this season, along with earning All-ACC recognition. She led the team with a 70.34 stroke average and won two individual titles. She was also a finalist for the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel and has been selected to the 2023 Arnold Palmer Cup this summer.
 
Walsh, a three-time All-American, finished inside the top 15 as an individual at the NCAA Championships in a tie for seventh and has six top 10 finishes in 11 events this season. She is second on the team with a 71.50 stroke average. She was also selected to the 2023 Arnold Palmer Cup this summer.
 
Chacarra, a two-time All-American, had nine top 20 finishes in 11 events this season and finished inside the top 25 at NCAA Championships. She is third on the team with a 71.69 stroke average.
 
Migliaccio, a four-time All-American, finished inside the top 25 in all 11 events this season and was fourth on the team with a 71.88 stroke average. She was selected for a record fifth time to represent the United States at the 2023 Arnold Palmer Cup this summer.
 
The Deacs won a program-record five team titles in the regular season along with the first NCAA National Title in program history. Read more about their impressive journey to the title here.

  • Head-to-head competition
  • Comparison with common opponents
  • Scoring average
  • Place finishes in regular season events and tournament wins
  • Strength of schedule
About the Women's Golf Coaches Association
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 700 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
