Two Deacs Prepare for 123rd U.S. Open

Junior Michael Brennan will be joined by PGA pro and Demon Deacon alumni Cameron Young this weekend at Los Angeles Country Club.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Two Demon Deacons are set to begin their chase for a major title this weekend at the 123rd U.S. Open at Los Angeles Country Club.
Wake Forest junior men's golfer Michael Brennan qualified for the 123rd U.S. Open Monday afternoon in dramatic fashion at Woodmont C.C. (North Course) in Rockville, Md. With the help of earning exemptions in majors last year, Cameron Young is set to continue his impressive play at major championships.
In the last three majors he made the cut, Young has tied for seventh or better in each. This includes a runner-up finish at The Open Championship, tying for third at the PGA Championship and tying for seventh at this year's Masters.
Brennan will be in the third group to tee off Thursday morning with his first tee time scheduled for 9:56 a.m. ET. Young will begin his tournament at 4:21 p.m. ET off the back nine.
