- Women's Soccer:
- Following a 2-0 victory over Big Ten foe Purdue Sunday, the Demon Deacons will travel to Alabama to face Auburn on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. EST, before returning home to square off with Iona Sunday.
- In Sunday's win over Purdue, sophomore midfielder Carly Wilson scored her first-career goal, while junior forward Emily Murphy notched her second tally of the season and the 12th of her career.
- This season, the Deacs have been led by junior midfielder Nikayla Small who has tallied a team-high three assists.
- Volleyball:
- Protecting its home court in its 2023 hosted invitational, Wake Forest volleyball went 3-0 this past weekend to open the fall season. The Deacs swept Toledo and Northeastern on Friday (Aug. 25) and Saturday (Aug. 26), respectively, before downing Grand Canyon on Sunday (Aug. 27) in four sets to cap off the undefeated weekend.
- A new record of crowd attendance inside of Varsity Arena was set during the opener against Toledo, as 721 spectators filled up the gym.
- On Monday (Aug. 28), Emma Farrell was named ACC Defensive Player of the Week after collecting 54 total digs in 10 sets throughout Wake Forest's three days of competition. Her 5.4 digs-per-set average currently leads all conference individuals following week one.
- Wake Forest starts a three-week road stretch this week, first traveling to Orlando for the 2023 UCF Challenge (Sept. 1-3). The team will hold matchups against Alabama State, the host Knights, and Florida International.
- Field Hockey:
- After their first win over a top-five ranked program this past weekend when they took down No. 4 Michigan, the Deacs open their home slate this weekend with two non-conference matchups inside Kentner Stadium.
- Friday the Deacs will take the turf at 5 p.m. to face off against William & Mary. The match will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.
- Sunday the Deacs face James Madison at 4 p.m. live nationally on ACC Network.
- Women's Cross Country:
- The Wake Forest women's cross country team will begin its 2023 slate Friday when the Demon Deacons host UNC Greensboro for an exhibition at Salem Lake.
- Two weeks later, the Deacs will face their first regular season test on Friday, Sept. 15 when they travel to Boone for the Covered Bridge Open.
- Women's Basketball:
- The Demon Deacons released the 2023-24 non-conference schedule last Tuesday.
- Highlighted by a showdown in the inaugural ACC/SEC Challenge against Texas A&M, the Demon Deacons non-conference slate features 12 contests, including seven at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
- The Deacs will tip off the 2023-24 season on Monday, Nov. 6, squaring off with last season's SoCon runner-up Wofford.
