Junior Scotty Kennon leads the Demon Deacons at day one of the Sahalee Players Championship.
Sammamish, Wa.- The Demon Deacons completed their first two rounds of the 2023 season at the Sahalee Players Championship in Sammamish, Wa.
Scotty Kennon finished off the day at the highest position on the leaderboard for the Deacs. Wake finished off the first Saturday of the season at the 11th spot on the leaderboard.
Freshman Tom Haberer came off the tee hot in the first round of the morning. The German notched a birdie, a bogey, and seven pars heading into the turn during the first round. Haberer finished T50 at the end of his first two rounds for Wake Forest.
Michael Brennan got his senior season underway on Saturday morning. The Reigning ACC Champion bounced back after a tough first hole on the front nine in round one. After a double bogey, Brennan found his footing with three birdies, four pars, and a bogey.
