  • Volleyball:

    • Coming off their first week of conference play, the Demon Deacons sit at 10-3 overall and 1-1 in the ACC. 

      • This past Friday, Wake Forest downed Miami in a 3-1 decision for its first victory over the Hurricanes since 2018, along with a win in the ACC opener for the first time since 2014.

      • Against Florida State on Sunday, sophomore setter Rian Baker notched the 1,000th assist of her collegiate career.

    • This weekend, the Deacs remain at home, bringing in Clemson on Friday night and No. 11 Georgia Tech on Sunday afternoon.

      • The program's annual Dig Pink match and Mental Health Awareness match headline Friday and Sunday, respectively.

  • Women's Soccer:

    • Wake Forest (7-1-2, 1-1-1 ACC) upset No. 22 Virginia Sunday, marking the program's first victory over the Cavaliers since 2012.

      • Sunday's win also marked head coach Tony da Luz's 300th victory at Wake Forest and his 100th ACC win. da Luz has led the Demon Deacon program since 1996. 

    • With Sunday's win over the Cavaliers, the Demon Deacons have now won 6 of their last eight matches.

    • Junior midfielder Nikayla Small leads the ACC and ranks sixth nationally with seven assists this season. 

  • Field Hockey:

    • The Deacs hit the road for the next four matches facing off with two ACC opponents during the road swing. Wake Forest makes the short drive to Durham for a match with No. 4 Duke on Friday night at 6 p.m. before heading back on the road to Davidson on Sunday for a 1 p.m. tilt.

  • Women's Cross Country: 

    • Following a first-place finish at the Covered Bridge Open to start the 2023 campaign, the Demon Deacons will return to action Saturday when they travel to Bethlehem, Pa., to compete at the Paul Short Run.

    • At the Covered Bridge Open, Wake Forest was paced by freshman Brooke Wilson who placed second overall in her first collegiate race, clocking 16:48.41.

      • As a team, the Demon Deacons tallied 23 points en route to the victory, finishing 13 points ahead of second-place Florida State (36). Of note, Wake Forest was the only team to have their entire top-five spread finish in the top-10. 

  • Women's Tennis:

    • A second fall event is ahead for the Deacons this weekend, as the team will partake in the 2023 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American Championships. Action is set to be held in Cary, North Carolina and runs from Sept. 30 to Oct. 8.

    • The team opened its fall campaign at Furman University's 36th annual Debbie Southern Fall Classic nearly two weeks ago (Sept. 15-17).
