  • Women's Basketball: 
    • The Demon Deacons have been led by the fifth-year leadership of Alexandria Scruggs and Kaia Harrison who are now ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in games played in program history:

    • On Sunday against No. 15 Louisville, redshirt-freshman Kate Deeble finished the game with a career-high four steals while Raegyn Conley and Elise Williams both posted a team-high 11 points.
    • Thursday on Kids Day against Syracuse, the Demon Deacons were led by 13 points from redshirt sophomore forward Malaya Cowles, who continued her strong stretch of performances at home.
    • Over the course of the season, the Demon Deacons have navigated one of the toughest schedules in the country as the Deacs currently sit at No. 4 in the Average Opponent NET Rank metric in the country. This includes seven games against NET top-50 teams and 10 teams in the NET top-100.
      • Additionally since the start of conference play, every team that Wake Forest has played was either ranked or receiving votes.
      • The strong schedule has seen Wake Forest rise 15 spots overall in the NET rankings since the start of conference play.
  • Track & Field/Cross Country: 
    • After a five-week break, Wake Forest had a solid showing at the Virginia Tech Invitational, as two Demon Deacons recorded top-10 marks in school history.
      • 3rd - Ashlyn Giles - 15.43m Season Best, Fifth All-Time for Wake Forest Indoor Shot Put
      • 8th - Amanda Schaare - 14.11m, 10th All-Time for Wake Forest Indoor Shot Put
    • The Demon Deacons will return to Blacksburg, Va., this weekend (Jan. 19-20) to compete at the Hokie Invitational.
  • Women's Tennis: 
    • The Demon Deacons completed their first event of the championship season on Monday afternoon during the final day of the 2024 Carolina Kickoff, hosted by the University of South Carolina.
    • In singles, Casie Wooten grabbed her 13th and 14th wins over ranked opponents in her career. On Saturday, she took down No. 67 Maria Sholokhova of Wisconsin, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. She followed that win up with another comeback victory on Sunday, this time over No. 34 DJ Bennett of Auburn, 2-6, 6-3, 6-3.
  • Field Hockey:
    • Forward Lauren Story joins the Demon Deacons as a mid-year enrollee from New Zealand. Story prepped with St Cuthbert's College finishing third at nationals. For more information on Lauren and to view her highlights, fans can click here.
