- Women's Soccer:
- Following a thrilling quarterfinal clash on the road against USC, which saw the Demon Deacons advance on penalties kicks after a 2-2 draw, the Wake Forest women's soccer team has advanced to its second-ever College Cup and first since 2011.
- The Demon Deacons will take on Stanford in the semifinal match Friday in Cary, N.C.
- It will be a rematch of Wake Forest's first-ever win over a No. 1-ranked team as the Deacs defeated the Cardinal, 1-0, earlier this season at Spry Stadium.
- Star forward Caiya Hanks tied for the most total points (10) and assists (4) in the NCAA Tournament, while also sitting tied for fifth in goals (3).
- Hanks earned TopDrawerSoccer's National Player of the Week honors and was joined by goalkeeper Valentina Amaral and defender Zara Chavoshi on the TDS Team of the Week.
- Amaral had an incredible performance against USC and single-handedly kept the Demon Deacons alive for most of the contest.
- She finished with a career-high six saves, including a one-on-one stop in the second overtime period.
- The Florida-native then stopped two penalties in the shootout to secure Wake Forest's spot in the College Cup.
- Chavoshi assisted the opener against the Trojan's with a perfect long-ball to Hanks and defended well throughout the 110 minutes.
- Amaral had an incredible performance against USC and single-handedly kept the Demon Deacons alive for most of the contest.

- Women's Basketball:
- The Wake Forest women's basketball rounded out the week with a dominant 73-52 victory over Gardner-Webb Sunday afternoon at LJVM Coliseum to improve to 5-3 on the season.
- Freshman guard Aurora Sørbye led the Deacs with a career-high 15 points on a 6-of-8 effort from the field. She also led the team with a trio of threes made, finishing 3-of-4 from behind the arc.
- The Deacs shared the ball well again on Sunday, finishing with 20 assists on 29 made baskets. Through eight games, the Deacs have finished with double-digit assists in seven contests, including five games with 16 or more and a pair of contests with 20 helpers. The 20 assists in the game tied a season-high for the Demon Deacons.
- The eight turnovers were the fewest by a Demon Deacon team since defeating Saint Louis 94-66 on Nov. 20, 2023 when the Deacs also only had eight turnovers in the game.
- Bolstered by three games against Quad-2 opponents, the Deacs opened No. 89 in the initial NET rankings with one Quad-2 game coming in a narrow defeat to Fairfield on Wednesday. The Demon Deacons NET ranking is 42 spots better than where the Deacs finished a season ago.
- Against the Stags on Wednesday, The Demon Deacons held the lead for much of the game and led by as much as seven points at the end of the first quarter. The Deacs held the Stags to a season-low 20 attempts from three and also held leading scorer Meghan Andersen to just six total points on 2-of-9 shooting.
- Sophomore Rylie Theuerkauf dropped double-digit points for the fourth-consecutive game and for the fifth time this season, as she finished with a career-high 15 points in addition to three rebounds and two assists.
- The Deacs are set to play twice again this week as they host Campbell Wednesday for the annual Kids Day Game with tipoff scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at LJVM Coliseum. Wake Forest then travels to 6-1 St. John's for a Sunday 2:00 p.m. tipoff.
- The Wake Forest women's basketball rounded out the week with a dominant 73-52 victory over Gardner-Webb Sunday afternoon at LJVM Coliseum to improve to 5-3 on the season.
- Track & Field:
- After a strong finish to the 2024 cross country campaign, the Wake Forest track & field team will now look to carry that momentum into the indoor season, beginning this weekend.
- The Deacs will open at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener and the Visit Winston-Salem College Kickoff on Saturday, Dec. 7 in Boston and Winston-Salem, respectively.
- A few Deacs will then compete in the JDL Early Bird Invitational on Sunday in Winston-Salem.
- After a strong finish to the 2024 cross country campaign, the Wake Forest track & field team will now look to carry that momentum into the indoor season, beginning this weekend.
- Volleyball:
- Wake Forest finished the 2024 season with a 13-18 overall record, going 5-15 in ACC play.
- The Deacs went 8-3 against non-conference competition this year, tied for the second-best mark in the Randi Smart era.
- Wake Forest has won at least eight non-conference regular season matches in each of the last three seasons.
- In the Smart era, the program has totaled a 44-11 record in non-conference play.
- Additionally, the program has gone 15-2 at home in non-conference.
- At the conclusion of the regular season, three Deacs held top-10 spots in different statistical categories within the ACC:
- Emma Farrell – 6th in digs (4.05/set)
- Dior Charles – 6th in blocks (1.23/set)
- Tina Grkovic – 7th in blocks (1.22/set)
- Wake Forest was one of two teams to have multiple players in the top 10 for blocks.
