How It Happened
Standout Stats
"It was a rough first half defensively. We came into the locker room and talked a little bit about the tendencies and guarding tendencies better and we made one adjustment with switching some things, which helped. It was really just a focus for these guys to do the scout the way we're asking and playing together in the second half really helped us. We could go down low easily on them. So we wanted to make sure that we established that and that we were working to get the ball inside a lot, which we did. We held them to nine points in the second half and the two points in the fourth is tied for a program record. We did it one other time this year against Charlotte. When we want to play great defense, we can, and we just have to make sure that we keep buying into that end of the floor. And I know that it's an early game. We're not used to seeing these early games, but it doesn't matter when you're going to play games. You have to come out ready. So I'm happy with the second half, but just not a great first half.
