Freshman Haiden Leffew will make his second start on the mound in the Old Gold & Black on Tuesday against the Aggies.

Offensively as a team, the Deacs have collected 30 extra-base hits over the first seven games of the season, including 12 home runs, 17 doubles and a triple. Of note, the Demon Deacons lead the ACC and are 13th in the nation with 57 walks this season.

On Sunday, second baseman Austin Hawke and left fielder Jack Winnay provided a spark offensively for the Demon Deacons batting in the seven and eight hole, respectively. Hawke notched a career-high three hits. He also collected two RBIs and crossed the plate twice.

Winnay also had a career day at the plate, as he launched a pair of two-run home runs for his first-career multi-homer game and is now tied for the team lead with Seaver King and Adam Tellier with three this season. His four runs batted in also mark a career best.

On the mound, Wake Forest has posted the best WHIP (1.00) in the conference and sixth-best in the nation. Additionally, the Deacs' 3.61 strikeout-to-walk ratio also leads the ACC and is good for 16th nationally.
