
Wake Forest Primed for Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD, SC. - The top-ranked Wake Forest women's golf team continues their spring season this week at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, hosted by South Carolina, at the Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
The Darius is in its 12th installment, with Wake Forest sweeping the team title and individual title at the event in 2020 and 2022. The event was not played in 2021 due to the pandemic. Most recently Wake finished fourth at the event in 2023. Emilia Migliaccio won the individual title in 2020 and Carolina Chacarra won the event as a freshman in 2022.
Known as the greatest show in women's collegiate golf and one of the toughest fields of the spring season, the 2024 event boasts 11 of the top 25 teams in the country right now.
Last Time Out
Wake Forest is coming off a 12th-place finish at the Moon Golf invitational, hosted by Louisville, in Melbourne Florida two weeks ago. Graduate Rachel Kuehn recorded her fifth top ten finish of the season and second top five finish, with a final round score of three-under 69 to put her at four-under for the week, good for a tied-for-fourth spot on the individual leaderboard.
Freshman Macy Pate recorded her sixth top-30 finish of the season. After making the turn one-over, Pate had three birdies over four holes to finish the day one-under. She was four-over for the week and finished tied for 28th.
Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Format
The event will be played over three days, with one round of 18-hole stroke play each day. Live scoring is available via GolfStat and results will be posted on GoDeacs.com at the conclusion of each round. Live coverage will air on Golf Channel from 2:30-5:30 p.m. every day of competition.
For Monday's first round, Wake Forest tee times will begin at 11:10 a.m. ET and the Deacs will be paired with LSU and South Carolina.

Wake Forest has two events remaining on their spring schedule before postseason begins with the ACC Championship in Wilmington in April. The Deacs will head to Georgia for the Valspar Augusta Invitational March 9-10. Wake will wrap up the regular season at the Wolfpack Match Play event in Raleigh at Lonnie Poole Golf Club April 8-9 before postseason begins April 18.
