Senior Jake Reinish paced the Demon Deacons high-powered offense on Wednesday night as Wake Forest swept its season series with High Point.
Individually, designated hitter Jake Reinisch ran his hit-streak to five games as he paced the Deacs with a 4-for-5 night. The senior drove in a career-high five runs and now has six multi-RBI efforts in his last 10 games.
Staying red hot, freshman Antonio Morales joined Reinisch as Deacs with two or more hits, as he finished 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI double.
After a homer in his Wake Forest debut on Tuesday, freshman Liam Willson left the yard for the second-straight night as he deposited a three-run shot in the fifth to give the Deacs their first lead at 8-6.
In what's believed to be a single-game program record, first baseman Nick Kurtz set a new career high with six walks. After walking three times Tuesday night against App State, Kurtz now has 56 free passes on the year and 167 for his career, which ranks third all-time. He is now just 13 away from the program record.
Graduate transfer David Falco earned the win on the mound, allowing just one run over 2.1 innings with a pair of strikeouts to keep the Panthers off the board in the middle innings as the Deacs scored three runs in the fifth, five in the seventh and two in the ninth to secure the come-from-behind win.
Closer Cole Roland picked up his second save in as many nights, slamming the door with a perfect ninth inning for his fourth of the year.

- The Reston, Va. native deposited a 2-1 pitch beyond the center field wall in his third career at-bat for a no doubter on Tuesday night against App State for the first hit and home run of his young career with a solo shot to give the Demon Deacons the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning.

FROM COACH WALTER
"It's really hard to win a double midweek, especially on the road and especially when you get an inning and a third out of your starter yesterday and you get two innings out of your starter today. It put us in a tight spot and our kids deserve credit for battling through that. We're in the middle of final exams. We're exhausted. We've been on the road for the whole month of April and we're certainly not playing our best baseball. I'm really proud of this team and how they've battled these last two games and found ways to win.
It's a much needed off day tomorrow and then we've got a nice little home stretch coming up. Final exams will be over here soon and we'll hopefully be able to get this team rolling. I'm really proud of this group. It's a really gutty win today.
Jake Reinisch had a really big day offensively for us. We found a way to stack quality at-bats today in a couple of innings. That's a good team win." - head coach Tom Walter
