Three Demon Deacons Recognized with USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

Additionally, both the men’s and women’s squads earned All-Academic Team distinction.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.  –  The Wake Forest men's and women's cross country teams earned multiple academic distinctions from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Thursday, Jan. 30. 

Three Demon Deacons were named All-Academic athletes while both the men and women earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 (or 10 percent) at the NCAA Regional Championships or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships.

In order to qualify for All-Academic team distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
