Last October, the Deacs represented at the 2024 ITA Carolina Regional in Chapel Hill, putting together some impressive performances in both singles and doubles play.

Anna Zhang/Whitley Pate advanced to the quarterfinals of the doubles bracket, picking up wins against Charleston Southern's Moore/Davidson (8-5) in the Round of 32 and an 8-6 victory over Duke's Krug/Yu in the Round of 16.

Nevena Carton/Kady Tannenbaum also advanced to the quarterfinals of the doubles tournament, picking up three wins in the process, including an upset victory over No. 27 Hamner/Carnicella (South Carolina), 8-7 (9-7), in the Round of 32.

In total, seven Demon Deacons saw action in the main draw of the tournament. Tannenbaum advanced from the qualifying rounds to play in the main bracket. Pate, Zhang and Krystal Blanch all stepped into the Round of 32 in singles.

Last Time Out
Wake Forest women's tennis took part in the ITA All-American Championships last month (Sept. 20-23), as four Demon Deacons competed through stages of pre-qualifying and qualifying play.

In all, the Deacs recorded four wins in singles and two in doubles. Krystal Blanch and Kady Tannenbaum won their first two respective solo matches to open up the pre-qualifying round.

Nevena Carton was the lone Demon Deacon to appear in the qualifying stage, competing in singles.

In doubles, the tandems of Krystal Blanch/Jingyi Li and Nevena Carton/Kady Tannenbaum earned a win apiece.
