From the Staff
"What a great day to be a Demon Deacon. Our women set the tone with a strong, composed performance that put them in prime position to secure their spot at the NCAA Championships. I couldn't be more proud of Ashley [Bastron] and this group. She has transformed the culture and expectations of our program, and it has truly shown this season. After being so close the last few years, today was especially meaningful. Our men responded with an impressive win. They are finally rounding into form after a disappointing ACC Championships. They work incredibly hard and sacrifice so much for one another, and today reflected what we see every day at practice. We're thrilled with the potential of having both teams advancing to Missouri. It was a tremendous day for Wake Forest Cross Country." - Director of Track and Field and Cross Country John Hayes

"The women knew exactly what needed to be done today and they executed the race plan with confidence. They showed up when it mattered most, and their fight and commitment to one another was so inspiring to watch. We feel confident about our position heading into nationals, and now we're eagerly awaiting the final selection show tomorrow at 5 p.m. It's truly a privilege to be their coach." - Associate Head Coach Ashley Bastron
