Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Educator Celebration Game
Saturday's game will be the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Educator Celebration Game for Wake Forest. Partnering with community-minded organizations — Allegacy Federal Credit Union, Proof of the Pudding, Pepsi, and Inmar Intelligence — Wake Forest will provide 3,000 sponsored packages for WSFCS teachers, staff, and their families. Each package includes a game ticket, complimentary stadium meal, parking, and a celebratory T-shirt, offering these dedicated educators a well-deserved day together inside Allegacy Stadium. This initiative also underscores the broader community effort to support and uplift Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools as they navigate current financial challenges. Additionally, Wake Forest will honor multiple educators on the field throughout the game as part of the celebration of our local educators, including a check presentation by Allegacy to Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, WSFCS Teachers of the Year Recognition and a recognition of RJ Reynolds teacher Cristofer Wiley.

Warren Belin ('90) Pete Moffitt Courage Award Recognition
Former Wake Forest football standout Warren Belin has been named the recipient of the 2025 Pete Moffitt Courage Award, honoring his remarkable perseverance, character, and unwavering commitment to the Demon Deacon spirit.

The Pete Moffitt Courage Award is presented annually to a former Wake Forest student-athlete, coach, or administrator who has displayed exceptional courage in facing personal challenges, while continuing to embody the determination and resilience that define Wake Forest Athletics.

Belin, a 1990 graduate and four-year letterman at linebacker for the Demon Deacons, built his reputation on toughness, leadership, and an unmatched work ethic during his playing career. He carried those same qualities into an accomplished coaching career, serving on the staffs at Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Georgia, and the NFL's Carolina Panthers.

Off the field, Belin is courageously battling Stage Four Pancreatic Cancer with the same determination and spirit that defined him as a player and coach. His fight has been marked by extraordinary resilience and grace, serving as an inspiration to his family, friends, and the entire Wake Forest community. His perseverance in the face of this challenge reflects the very values the Pete Moffitt Courage Award was created to honor.

Belin becomes the 13th recipient of the Pete Moffitt Courage Award, joining a distinguished group of honorees who have carried on the legacy of Pete Moffitt, a beloved member of the Wake Forest family remembered for his spirit and determination.
