On Wednesday against William & Mary, the Demon Deacons will look to improve to 10-0 for the first time since the 2008-09 season when the Deacs won the first 12 games of the season.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – After winning the first nine games to start the season, the Wake Forest women's basketball team will look to continue its perfect start to the season Wednesday at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, playing host to William & Mary for an 11:30 a.m. tipoff.

The Demon Deacons (9-0) have remained perfect in the first nine games propelled by 18.0 assists per game. The Deacs have had the emergence of sophomore forward Grace Oliver as she is averaging a team-high 12.6 points per game and also ranking in the top 25 nationally with 60 percent shooting from the floor. Going into Wednesday, the Deacs ranked fifth nationally and first in the ACC, holding opponents to just 29.7 shooting from the field and also ranking 13th in scoring defense with just 51.9 points per game allowed while also ranking 67th with 41.3 rebounds per game.

The Tribe (2-4) are coming off a double-digit win at Tennessee State on Saturday, the first win against a Division-I opponent this season as the only other win this season came against Barton College on Nov. 9. Last season, the Tribe made a run in the CAA Tournament to win it all and earn a 16 seed in the NCAA Tournament. When the Tribe gets to the line this season, they have been one of the most efficient teams in the country, knocking down 76.0 percent of their attempts.
