Lunceford Earns ACC Pitcher of the Week Nod

The junior struck out a career-high 13 on Friday against St. John’s.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Junior pitcher Logan Lunceford earned ACC Pitcher of the Week honors after a dominant 13-strikeout performance against St. John's, the league announced on Monday evening.
"Logan Lunceford was really good today with 13 strikeouts, two walks and one hit," head coach Tom Walter said following Friday's game. "It was just an outstanding performance from him."
Lunceford fanned 13 of the 19 batters he faced Friday, which is tied for the 10th-highest single-game strikeout total in program history.

The righty leads the ACC with 20 punchouts, and his 19.29 strikeouts per nine also leads the conference, while he ranks fourth in the ACC with 1.93 hits allowed per nine innings.
