- Track & Field:
- The Wake Forest track & field team will compete in the ACC Indoor Championships this weekend from March 1-3 in Louisville, Ky.
- Robbie Grace heads into the weekend with the program-record for the long jump (6.37m).
- After ACC's, the squad will turn its attention to the NCAA Indoor Championships, which will take place in Virginia Beach, Va. from March 14-15.
- The Wake Forest track & field team will compete in the ACC Indoor Championships this weekend from March 1-3 in Louisville, Ky.
- Women's Tennis:
- The Demon Deacons closed out their final weekend of non-conference play with two 7-0 sweeps against both Navy and William & Mary.
- Following their wins against Navy and William & Mary, the Demon Deacons jumped up 10 spots in the ITA rankings, landing at No. 29 in the latest poll.
- The Deacs are one of 11 teams in the ACC in the top-50 of the ITA's team rankings. Wake Forest is also one of just four teams in the ACC with double-digit wins on the season thus far.
- Wake Forest opens up their ACC schedule with a road trip to the Midwest to take on No. 24 Notre Dame and Louisville.
- The Deacs open conference play in a top-25 matchup against the Fighting Irish on Friday, with first serve slated for 4 p.m.
- The Demon Deacons will then close out their six-match road stretch against Louisville on Sunday at noon.
- Women's Basketball:
- The Wake Forest women's basketball team split the week with a victory coming at home against SMU on Thursday night during the annual Play4Kay Pink Game.
- The Deacs held the Mustangs leading scorer in junior guard Nya Robertson to just six points in the game, her second-lowest scoring output of the season and just the second time all season she had finished with single-digit points. Robertson was just 3-of-12 from the field and 0-of-5 from behind the arc.
- In addition to senior Elise Williams' game-high and season-high 20 points, she also led the team with six rebounds and four assists. It marked the senior's seventh-career game with 20-or-more points and first of the season. She was efficient, shooting 7-of-10 from the field, going 1-of-1 from three and 5-of-6 from the line.
- On Sunday, the Demon Deacons played a tightly contested game at Miami that came down to the final seconds.
- Sophomore guard Rylie Theuerkauf led the charge for Wake Forest as she finished with 18 points on 7-of-14 from the floor in addition to a block and two steals on the other end. It marked her 10th-consecutive game scoring in double figures and 18th time doing so this season.
- The senior duo of forward Demeara Hinds and guard Elise Williams also chipped in double-digit points with 12 and 10, respectively. Hinds finished an efficient 5-of-9 from the floor and led the team with seven rebounds.
- The Deacs wrap up regular season play this week as they travel to No. 9 NC State on Thursday before returning home for Senior & Graduates Day against Pitt on Sunday afternoon.
- The Wake Forest women's basketball team split the week with a victory coming at home against SMU on Thursday night during the annual Play4Kay Pink Game.
- Women's Golf:
- Fresh off a second-place finish at the Moon Golf Invitational, No. 9 Wake Forest women's golf heads to Hilton Head, S.C. for the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate.
- Last time out at the Darius Rucker, the Deacs finished T10 and saw then-freshman Macy Pate with a top-ten individual finish.
- Field Hockey:
- Sophomore Mia Schoenbeck and alumna Brooke McCusker are both competing at the 2025 FIH Nations Cup with Schoenbeck representing the United States and McCusker suiting up for Team Canada.
- Schoenbeck and the USA squad took a 2-0 victory over Canada on Sunday evening and continued pool play against Japan.
- McCusker and Team Canada will look to rebound against host Chile on Wednesday, before closing pool play against Japan.
- Sophomore Mia Schoenbeck and alumna Brooke McCusker are both competing at the 2025 FIH Nations Cup with Schoenbeck representing the United States and McCusker suiting up for Team Canada.
- Volleyball:
- Demon Deacons head volleyball coach Jeff Hulsmeyer recently announced the addition of Sherisa Livingston as an assistant coach.
- Bringing over a decade of experience to Winston-Salem, Livingston comes from Charlotte, where she was an assistant coach before being named the interim head coach in November. From 2020-23, Livingston led Radford's volleyball program and she was also the head coach at Antelope Valley for two years after launching the volleyball program in 2015.
