No. 12 Demon Deacons Bring In Princeton and Maryland this Weekend

Wake Forest opens the weekend against the Tigers on Friday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. ET.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Tuning up for the final weekend before Atlantic Coast Conference play, the No. 12 Wake Forest baseball team welcomes Princeton and Maryland to David F. Couch Ballpark this weekend.

The LJVM Lots will be closed for other events on March 1, 8, 14 & 15. Free parking for Couch Ballpark is available in the Gold Lot only and fans will need to enter from Reynolds and/or 32nd Street off Shorefair Drive due to on-going construction of The Grounds.

Friday's opener marks just the third meeting against Princeton and the first time facing off since 1979. The Deacs hold a 2-0 edge in the series.
Wake Forest and Maryland have faced off 164 times dating back to 1932 and last met in the 2023 Winston-Salem Regional. The Demon Deacons are 104-59-1 all-time against the Terps, including a 55-22-1 mark at home.
Keep 'Em Off the Board
Wake Forest enters the weekend leading the nation in shutouts with three in the first nine games of the season. The Demon Deacons keep St. John's scoreless on both Friday and Saturday, marking the first time with back-to-back shutouts since a 15-0 win over High Point and 6-0 win over Boston College during the 2023 season.
Bullish Bullpen
The Wake bullpen has been one of the strongest in the country so far, with a 1.64 ERA in 44.0 innings of relief through the first nine games. The bullen alone has struckout 70 batters, which outpaces 191 other D1 programs total strikeouts between both starters and relievers.
Rake Forest
Wake Forest leads the ACC and ranks third in the country with 20 homers on the year, led by Marek Houston's five home runs through nine games.
The Demon Deacons have scored 99 runs through the first two weeks of the season, good for 21 more than any other ACC program and led the league in RBI by 25 with 96 runs driven in on the year.
